The University Department of Rural Health invites all medical, nursing and allied health students currently studying or on clinical placement in the region (including non University of Melbourne students) to participate in: Cultural Competency in Aboriginal Health.
Traditional Owner and Manager of the Aboriginal Education Centre for Federation University Australia, Bonnie Chew will conduct a 1 day cultural awareness session introducing students to past and present Aboriginal Australia.
This session will give students an insight into the Aboriginal history in Australia and an opportunity to discuss meeting the health and wellbeing needs of today’s community in a meaningful and culturally appropriate manner.
