Support Information
The Masters of Psychology – Rural Placement Support provides financial support of $1,500 to eligible students undertaking a placement in Modified Monash Model (MMM) locations, category 3 or above within Victoria. This support is intended to assist with the additional costs associated with completing placements in rural locations and aligns with the program’s aim to prioritise and support placements in more rural and remote areas.
Funding is limited, and only a finite number of students can be supported each year. Once available funding has been fully allocated, no further financial assistance will be available for that year.
Applications will be prioritised based on the level of rurality of the placement location and the length of placement days, rather than on the order in which applications are submitted. The final decision regarding the provision of financial support rests with the Going Rural Health program.
