Warracknabeal

Warracknabeal is situated on the banks of the lovely Yarriambiak Creek, which is lined by gum trees and winds through the township.

The town boasts a number of historic buildings, including the old State Savings Bank building that now houses the Warracknabeal Historical Centre. The old court house is now used by the Warracknabeal Historical Society. A log lock-up for police, and an old brick water tower for the steam trains, are also sights worth a visit.

Parks and gardens are located where the creek widens, and a number of footbridges span its length. A flora and fauna park is located on a bend in the creek, which has BBQ and picnic areas, a playground, and native animal enclosures. Tracks along both sides of the river, the Yarriambiack Creek Walk, take in some interesting sights.

Warracknabeal has diverse agricultural industries including sheep & wool, wheat, barley, canola and lupins.

Student accommodation provided by the hospital is available on a first come, first served basis. Warracknabeal provides free accommodation to students, with breakfast and one meal on a shift included.
